Help identifying part

    Was looking under the hood and noticed this hose or pipe. Not sure what to call it. Not that automotive savvy which is why I come here hoping it’s a friendly space.

    I see it’s not connected to anything. Seems like it should be, but again, I don’t know. Help with the part and if anything needs to be done to get it to where it needs to go will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Looks like engine air intake to me...

    Called a snorkel it connects to nothing . It pulls fresh air from right around that headlight area as you're going forward air is rushing in and it's getting sucked in that little hole through the noise damper thingy that sits right next to your air cleaner and then into the air cleaner and into the throttle body and into the engine. Nothing connects to it leave it alone
