Hi Everyone I have a 2006 Toyota Prius and apparently, the check engine light came on not long ago. I took it to Toyota service and turned out that the DC inverter needs replacing They quoted me over £2000 to get it fixed(they would charge £900 for 3 hours labor..), so now I'm looking for a cheaper option. Do you know any garages in the west midlands area where my car can be fixed? I'm registered in most of the "mechanics needed" sites but no luck Please help
Wow! Is £300 per hour really the going rate in the UK? Do you have another choice of service centre? One option to make it cheaper is sourcing a second-hand inverter from a breaker and having an independent hybrid mechanic install it.
