Was driving up a hill suddenly I heard something something in my engine fall and hit the road, immediately the red triangular maintenance light came on Car will crank and roll fairly decently in reverse but in drive shakes and bumps and leaks all kinds of oil Car has almost 300000 miles on it any idea as to what I should look at as being the problem? Thanks for any help
Have a look in the road what's in the road picture something fell out of your engine then it fell through your oil pan or fell off on the outside of your engine as an accessory like the air conditioning compressor which is highly unlikely so you just kept driving and didn't even look in the road?

It would be interesting to see if the oil filter is still installed or no longer tightly attached. Your car may be using only HV battery power to drive in reverse. May be spraying oil out of the (now empty?) oil filter port. Sounds likely that engine may be damaged. Oil gushing out is typically a bad sign, as that means all oil (flow and pressure) are exiting the hole, instead of going into the bearings, etc.
