The alarm on my Prius is going off every half hour to hour and a half or so for the past 12 hrs... It just occured to me to either dsconect the battery or remove the horn fuse. I would prefer to remove the horn fuse. Does anyone know where this would be? Any help/advice appreciated. The dealerships are all closed today for a Texas snow day...
Look in your manual for the fuse location, they are all over the car, most under the hood. Looking in my manual, page 316, it looks like fuse 7 ECU-IG in the cabin and fuse 34 P CON MAIN in the engine compartment may control the alarm, but your car won't run without those fuses. I make no advice about pulling them. Some people have reported alarm problems when their 12V battery had a poor connection or was dying. You may want to have that checked too.
