Hello I have 2017 Toyota Prius but when I try to plug in it’s charging cable the locking mechanism doesn’t work. I have tried everything with settings and unlocking it with the fob but no success. Then I manually unlocked the mechanism. Now I can charge the battery but the mechanism is still not working. Any one has faced this problem before ??? What could be the possible problem ??
I only charge at home, so I've never used charge cable lock on mine, but it supposed to use the sensor to detect the fob near by doesn't it? Have you tried changing fob battery? If that doesn't help, maybe the sensor in the car is not working?
Thanks you for your reply. I have two fob keys none of them solved the problem. Then I manually unlocked it by the attached diagram. Now it’s charging but the lock is not working. I have just imported this vehicle with 4K KMS. Do you know the location of this sensor? I have connected it with the computers but no dtcs were found.
This lock doesn’t lock my charging cable. Before I wasn’t able to plug in my charging cable fully inside because this lock was not allowing the cable to fully insert. Then I manually unlocked it. Now I can insert my charging cable but can’t lock it. I don’t know what’s causing this problem.
