Currently on the side of the road. Had a history with a P0420 code for horror efficiency on catalyst. Noticed that my perch flow monitors were failing and this time there was a slew of them while on the highway started no single loss of power and then a p3190 code threw along with a P0A0F and got the red triangle of death till I coasted to the side of the road. I'm wondering if my catalytic converter was clogged to the point that it choked the engine; I'm planning on cleaning the MAF sensor and possibly disconnecting the exhaust so it can breathe as a temporary measure Thoughts?

The engine may not start for a number of reasons - incorrect adjustment of the fuel-air mixture, insufficient fuel supply, leaks in the air ducts, non-working spark plugs, ignition coils, etc.

A sequential check of all systems involved in engine operation is required.

Pretty much you're following a no start condition for the ice engine like normal no start condition for most ice engines You just don't have a regular starter motor It's built into the transmission so you don't get to hear a lot of cranking and cutting up when the engine is trying to start You hear it as engine rotation not a motor turning a ring gear flopping an engine up and down over its compression so that's a little different than that way but that's what your troubleshooting fuel spark the right time all of that so something happened while you were going down the road that won't allow the car or engine to restart sorry I don't know how many pages in the factory manual or dedicated to that but I'm sure quite a few I've noticed when this happened a few times I wasn't on the road but I've made it happen in the driveway working on messing with things etc It's usually something electrical coils not plugged up right coils not capable of making fire It's just things like that You like Max said there may be sub codes If so you need to obtain those subcodes however you do that pay for a scan get a better scanner AP200 you know $63 some of the best money you'll have in your car basically having a car this long and not being able to read subcodes and things like that well maybe that's shouldn't be a thing I don't know I couldn't be without the information personally so that's my take on it anyway good luck You're basically troubleshooting a no start condition for a regular gas engine now if you're hybrid battery is acting up enough and all of a sudden can't produce the necessary juice to lock up the motor generator to turn the engine and start the vehicle that could be problematic there again they'll be sub codes in there usually three digit codes involving the area specifically you need to be looking at The battery could have lost its isolation from the rest of the vehicle that can be problematic and that can just happen going down the road A lot of this other stuff generally won't pops up after an engine change transmission change major changes to various and sundry parts of the car changing a battery and not putting the plug back in the right things like that Not really going down the road. And good luck
