We are trying to replace the auxilliary battery located in the trunk of our 2003 prius. We are not terribly handy but managed to get the battery dislodged in all areas except for a bolt of some sort at the bottom. It appears that we may need to climb beneath the car to remove this but we have no clue what kind of tool is required to remove the bolt. Any help someone could lend would be VERY much appreciated. We found a youtube video but it doesn't look like our situation Thank you for your help
There's no bolt underneath. Just remove the battery hold down clamp. Its a little hard and the battery may have to be jiggled a little. Take a flashlight and look down the side of the battery. Then get a hand mirror and look down the backside and see whats keeping it from coming out.
