HELP,WE HAVE A 04 PRIUS WITH AN AIR BAG LIGHT THAT WILL NOT GO OUT.I HAVE USED A MODIS AND A MASTERTECH SCAN TOOL AND HAVE NO CODES.I CAN INDUCE A CODE ,SO I KNOW THAT IT IS A WORKING SYSTEM. I HAVE REPLACED THE COMBINATION METER IN HOPES THAT IT WAS MAYBE SHORTED INTERNALLY,BUT NO DICE,STILL ON.
If your plug in tools aren't working on the car, your best bet is to take the car to a Toyota dealership, they can find out what is wrong with the airbag, and fix it, with you incurring a cost probably. You might want to take off the CAPS, its like you are yelling.
I think that the airbag system has a 60 mo/60K warranty, check your manual, if it does, it should be under warranty, unless you are over the miles.
