sorry am new to this. the next day realized the cruise control is not working. Today I realize that battery is not charging/recharging when I step on the brake and tonite I realize the energy monitor screen is not working. What is going on? Car has 41,000 miles, bought it used with 28,000 miles and has worked fine until now. Thanks
Cold brings out the weakness in batteries. Specifically the 12v battery. Given where you live and recent weather, any problems starting? Have recent trips been long enough to overcome the energy loss due to charging? Battery load tested recently? PS, you posted in the v (wagon) section. Is that the model you have? What level do you have, what infotainment package? Any work done on the car recently no matter how insignificant?
Hard to give a good answer without being there to do some tests but a good bet would a failing 12 V battery. Beyond that, you probably should NOT guess and throw parts at it but visit a dealer or hybrid garage.
