In a story on CNN about electric bicycles: Electric bikes provide greener commute - CNN.com I came across this nugget: "The EV1 project, though widely seen as a spectacular failure." Well yes, it was a spectacular failure. It was a failure by GM because they actually manufactured a viable electric vehicle, leased them to people who generally enjoyed them, and then shredded virtually all of them. And then they tried to convince everyone that the EV1 never existed. Oops! CNN and AP ought to know better. Or does the conspiracy portrayed in "Who Killed the Elecric Car?" continue?
