I know my 2016 C has NO temperature gauge to show motor temperature. And, I decided to limit lair coming into the motor compartment using foam pipe insulation, on the grill bars (fits nicely) Is there a "HIGH" temperature alarm or icon or IF the ICE temperature goes above whatever its normal operating rage is, how do I know. Of course, if I knew and it happened, I'd immediately remove the foam from my grill BUT, will I get some indication? It would appear in the short time frame I've done this in, there seems to be an increase in fuel economy. TIA
Not sure about the alarm thing, but if you get an Ultragauge you can watch your coolant temp. I've never seen it go above 95 C in mine (but I don't have grill block) and I've pushed mine to 3000-4000 rpm for a few minutes up a long highway slope.
