HID ballast ignitor replacement

    Hello,

    I have a 2005 Prius and about six months ago I replaced the HID bulb. At the time it would turn on and be pink for a minute then go out. Now the same side (passenger) is doing the same thing.

    I called the shop and they said it could be the ignitor or ballast that needs replacing.

    Does anyone know about how much that would cost? They did say they would cover labor because it's under 6 months.

    Did they replace the bulb with a good Phillips brand bulb or an EBay special?

    As far as I know a good bulb. I went thru Pepboys so I assume a big company like that would use Phillips
