Hi There, My old headlamps all went yellow over the years. I ended up replacing them with the HID versions of the headlamp assembly (long story, but is what it is). I need to get the HID bulbs and ballasts all up, but have some questions: Background Info: The factory wiring is standard (ground, high-12V, low-12V) In know that I will need to convert the factory wiring harness into one useful for the HID Ballast (we can assume it's 81107-51050 or equiv) I am aware of the 81125-33460 harness, but I cannot locate any photos to confirm if the upstream interface on this harness is correct or not I am fine with creating my own harnesses This is a 2005 Prius Questions: The 81107-51050 ballast is not marked with, and I cannot find, a valid wiring diagram showing exactly what the unit expects in terms of connections. Anyone have such a diagram, or know the pin-out for the interface pins? How about one of the 81125-33460 harness (which would show the same info)? How does the ballast handle high and low beam operations (or does it - not much out there in terms of info)? #1's answer may answer this question... Anything else I should know? Is 811235-47001 important in the end (it's the end cap, plastic)? I am not sure which bin it ended up in - if it can be ignored, cool, less to deal with. Thanks!
Most people go the other way because the HID,s are so much trouble. I suggest you get some new regular headlights cheap on EBay and stick with what you have
