I've been looking for a used Prius, and I came across this 2005 with over 100k miles. The seller said it was mostly highway, he put up over 30k within 7 months. I'd really appreciate any input on what I should be looking at carefully on this car. Thanks a bunch! pp
A very good price! Priuses seem to have excellent durability, but 100K miles is a lot of miles. Even Toyotas wear out. Take it to a mechanic you trust and have it checked out very thoroughly. A good Prius mechanic will know what to look for. Be prepared to pay for this check-up. If it is thorough it will cost, but it will be worth it to be sure you're not getting a car with more than the obvious wear and tear. This advice applies to buying any used car.
