My 2012 Prius just started making a very loud high-pitched screeching noise when I put it in reverse. I was driving on a gravel road the night before, so I'm wondering if a pebble or something got stuck to create that noise. This doesn't happen when driving forward or pressing the brakes.
welcome! sounds right. have someone stand next to each wheel as you back up. it could be that the pebble moves out of the screech lane when you go forward.
