I have posted a selection of my hiking pictures to Shutterfly. I don't know if this is the best site for this, but you should not need to log in to view them. This fall, after I am back home I plan on setting up a page with all my pictures, but from this satellite internet at the lodge, it's too slow to do more. This link should open to my album on Shutterfly. It will say it was posted by George Third, but the album name is daniel. http://tinyurl.com/2e4nl6
I, personally, would MUCH rather be running around here at work dealing with grumpy patients, demanding nurses and annoying consultants and all the stressors there in than sitting around looking at boring scenery like this. NO, I'm not jealous...why do you ask? BTW Daniel, your camera work is improving, you've got some nice photos up.

Well, I like them. I can smell that mountain-fresh air already. You're going to the Rockies next summer, right?

Wow, awesome. I don't know much about photography but to me, the colors look amazing. As much as I love to see grand landscapes like the mountains, I equally (and sometimes even more) appreciate the more intimate pics of the wildflowers. You must be in heaven there. Enjoy and get back safely.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Aug 10 2007, 08:57 AM) </div> Actually, I'm going to the Rockies in about a week. I was at Selkirk Mountain Experience for two weeks, then after a day and a half back home I came here (Purcell Mountain Lodge) for two weeks, which ends tomorrow. I'l be home for three days, and then I go to Lake Louise and Jasper, in the Rockies, for a week. If the weather holds, I might go back to SME for another week after that. There's an opening, if someone wants to join me for travel to these and other fun places. You just have to be female, single, moderately attractive, physically fit, and a non-smoker.
Is this in WA ? ... You're spozta say where you went, aren't you? Geee . . . back from our MT home just a few weeks & you wana make me miss the great out doors? Ok, TAKE THAT: http://usera.imagecave.com/w4abj/Kiacking2.jpg From our 4th of July week ... some 4 weeks ago. Maybe 35 minutes north of our home in kalispell. Kayak'n Lake McDonald. Glacier National park. Now we're even
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ 2007 Aug 10 05:23 PM) </div> Well, that counts me out. If you end up with extra time, I can highly recommend the Waterton Lakes area. The mountains there are remarkable for the way they seem to rise straight out of the prairie.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hill @ Aug 10 2007, 06:02 PM) </div> Sorry. It's British Columbia. Most spectacular country I've ever seen. I moved to Spokane to be close to here.
You could have moved to BC and been even closer. Seen Long Beach yet? Skookumchuck Narrows? Gwaii Hanas?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Aug 10 2007, 07:23 PM) </div> You forgot "Prius lover"
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Aug 10 2007, 10:19 PM) </div> Could happen. But travel is easier from here. Nope. Not yet. The coast is a much longer drive than the Selkirks / Purcells / Rockies. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Cheap! @ Aug 12 2007, 09:32 AM) </div> I'm not that fussy. Though if she finds me here on PC she probably is. But I don't care if she drives an SUV. Everyone who rides in my Xebra loves it, so I figure anyone who's willing to go out with me once is going to want one. And I'd buy her one.
P.S. Here today and gone tomorrow: I'm home today (have been for a couple of days) but I'm off again tomorrow for another week and a half, or three.
