I love kayaking, but a roof rack is out of the question for me.... it's injury related. I was thinking of buying and installing a class 1 (think that's the right size) hitch made for the Prius, and either fabricating or buying a trailer for the kayaks. Anyone have suggestions for places of purchase, brand of hitch, etc.?
Do some searching here and you'll find plenty of posts on hitches. I ordered mine from U-Haul... paid about $150 for the hitch + installation, and it was all done in less than 30 minutes. Easy peasy!
