only goes to show you that we barely know the tip of iceberg when it comes to ancient Earth history and its people.

Starbug, come visit me in VT. I will introduce you to Carolyn. She is at least 3" shorter than you! You will feel comfortably tall. She is about twice your age by the way, this isn't some carnival trick where I bring out a 10 year old . :)

LOL, but of course! It's mind-boggling to think that there were people shorter than me at one time; I can't imagine. I feel really good knowing that I could have been tall to them.

I noticed tonight that Carolyn was standing next to my wife (who is 5'6"). Carolyn barely came up to Janet's shoulder. Her 10 Y/O daughter (who is no giant), in ice skates, is just a bit taller than she. The skate adds about 4" so my guess is Carolyn is no more than 4'9". In my skates, that put me about 19" above her.

Whoa! Hehe, I feel giddy reading that. LOL! Here's my height-comparison, in photograph: http://www.oldweirdherald.com/photos/galle...Series/DSC02634 The guy behind me in the green jacket is 6'0" or 6'1" (he is also my neighbor & boss at my other job). As I recall from when that picture was taken, the photographer was making short jokes at that moment, so there I am dieing of laughter as the pic was taken. I never hear the end of the short jokes while working for that man, nor do I hear the end of them while racing with ANY of the slot car guys. It's hilarious.

And here's another height-ref pic (different race night). No, the track isn't THAT long, I am not looking short because of perspective. I really AM that short (take another look at the first link). DaveinOlyWA can attest to my shortness. http://www.oldweirdherald.com/photos/galle...Racing/DSC02593 (the cars are so fast that the camera can't see them. We are trying not to blink for 3 mins, lest we loose our cars and hit a wall --a very bad thing I assure you--!)
