It's been about a year since we began the saga . . . trying to stay at the front of the line. and so now, here we are . . . . just one day old:
Thanks all, for the good words & congrats too. The Aptera? ... yea, what a sad commentary ... but today is a good day because where Aptera imploaded, Leafs & Prius move forward. It's been nearly 7 years of Prius driving, with a life time average of almost 56mpg. Now we're leraning how to think in terms of mp kWh (miles per kilowatt hours) in stead of mpg's. So far (less than 2 whole days) we've brought our efficiency up from 4.2 miles per kWh to 4.5 miles per kWh. I wonder how the numbers will look in 7 MORE years Im certain of ONE thing - the Prius really taught us how MUCH our driving style/efforts contribute, to what the Prius can do. After all these years I'm a newbie again.
Pretty much. Or - at 4.5 miles per kWh: If you pay 5 cents, that'd be $2.00 to go 180 miles. If you pay 30 cents, that'd be $12.00 to go 180 miles. Too much math - that's why we went PV solar a couple years ago. 0 cents funding the Al Queda flight school program.
Ok so the waiting was not sweet but let's face it... its kinda hard now to remember ain't it?? I posted my stats sin e I have to pay to charge my Leaf.... ahh Gary I am ENVIOUS.!!
Advanced technology cars reward driving style in the city. I tried looking ahead to lights, keeping steady flow, etc... in the Accord, but not motivated to do that much more - when in the city in a conventional, you're screwed anyway.
