Hello everyone, I searched for threads on options for tying down loose boxes in the trunk, and I the discussion I did find indicated that horizontal type nets from Gen 3 and earlier don't fit the Gen 4 trunk. So! I have a large, mostly empty cardboard box with coats and boots I need to carry around, and I'm looking for suggestions on how to handle it. I'd rather not have it go flying around if I get into a fender-bender. Here's what I've thought of: 1. I could get a horizontal type net made for some other kind of car. Any suggestions? 2. I could get a rigid plastic storage box, and use cinching straps to hold it in place. It looks like the black box/yellow lid type have strap holes that go through the lip and the lid. If you've found something that works for you, please let me know! Jack
Well, I did think of one other solution: 3. An extra large duffel bag, connected to the D-rings in the trunk. The D-ring on the duffel (that usually connects to a snap hook on a shoulder strap) could be hooked to the trunk D-ring with a carabiner. One at each end, of course. This one occurred to me after reading a thread here where someone mentioned using a canvas tool bag for their tire changing kit. Jack
