    Hello all,
I'm currently working on replacing the head gasket in my ~200,000 mile 2010 Toyota Prius and I need help identifying a particular hose. The hose (I've attached a picture I found on google with an arrow pointing at it) tore while I was removing it and coolant leaked out. It's plugged into the top of the throttle body on one side while the other side connects further back in the nethers of the engine. Any guidance you can provide is appreciated. Thank you!

That hose doesn't really go that far back You could just go to another car and unplug it and take it or you can go by a connection fitting and brass or plastic and a short piece of hose cut the one hose you messed up back splice on the new piece and call it a day for like I say if you just use your flashlight and take a look you'll see where that plugs in when I get home I'll try to take a picture but I can only send it to your directly posting pictures here as a pain in the butt to me resizing and all that mess but that hose doesn't go to the depths of anything It just looks like it does because you're not looking from the right angle to where it goes there is no depths to this assembly everything is right up there on the top for the most part It might go down 8 or 10 in at best I do understand to a person that doesn't do things like this regularly where this could be a spaghetti web compared to a 75 nova maybe.

That hose and the similar one attached to the throttle body below it are the de-icing loop for the throttle body. One of them, IIRC, attaches to a small nipple on the EGR cooler, and the other one to a nipple on a descending small tube that eventually leads to the bypass connection just above the thermostat.

Used to be able to go to parts.toyota.com and pull the diagrams right up, but they done fixed that problem.

Like I say they're really not buried You just have to take your finger and follow the hose disconnect it from the nipple and fix the problem with a longer piece of hose or two pieces put together or I can't imagine but very simple
