Another pie in the sky "invention." Problem 1: Energy use. Aren't we supposed to be getting more frugal with energy? This invention is based on the early 20th century hope for an energy revolution that never came. It still hasn't. Problem 2: Liability Insurance. While no one may care if you crash your hover bike in a swamp and are never heard from again, IF you crash and damage people or property on the ground, there is no standard of care you can hide behind. You are liable 100% of the time, for 100% of the damages you cause. It is that way for any flying craft. If the dream is that anyone can license and fly this thing, the liability issues will ground them due to high insurance costs. If there are ever flying cars and flying bikes, I will go back in to the practice of law for the big pay day.
