How do you multi quote a post or several posts? The "multi quate this post" button does not seem to do anything. And what if I want to respond to several different posts in one post? Does that make sense? Why do some of my posts disappear overnight? If your posts are deleted, are you notified? Thanks!
I use copy and paste...it takes a little work, but a good response deserves a little work to make it happen.... As far as disappearing, I have never had that one happen to me ....... yet ..... but unless it's really offensive, and you not only crossed the line, but fell off the cliff, not saying you did, I can think of no reason for posts to disappear. Perhaps a moderator combined the new post into a thread of an existing or more appropriate thread!!
Click the "multipost" icon in each post that you wish to quote...then hit reply to the last one and all of the posts will show as quoted. Not sure why your posts disappear...usually, if they're inappropriate we'll let you know, or we'll soft delete so there will be a note with something like (bad language) for the reason.
Let's say you want to quote two people. For the first one, click this icon => and it will change to this => For the second one, click this icon => If you want to quote multiple people, click the button for each of them as long as you click the [Reply] button for the last one.
Tony, I did what you suggested and all I get is your entire post is quoted. Do you have to press the reply button within the post box, or the last one at the bottom of the thread? Thanks. Thanks to RPatterman, as this may be a response to my not using the quote function properly.
For multiple quotes, I tend to use the 'multiquote' button for each post I want to quote, then click the 'reply' button at the end of the thread. Other methods may work, too, but this one seems fine. It also helps to edit out the parts you're not referring to - it's seldom necessary to quote the entire post.
