Apple iphone 6S with ios 10.3.2. Bluetooth ON and connected. Show Notifications set ON. I can't get the car's display to show the list of texts, nor the message in a text, and, can it read the texts to me? Can it call back to the texter's number? Can this work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My sales person set it up for me when I bought the vehicle. I thought it was as simple as establishing the bluetooth connection - but I wasn't watching when she did it. I have an iPhone5, if it makes a difference.
Mine works. What do the car settings look like? Press the menu button, press the settings button, then select phone, then messaging. I haven't figured out how to send messages without siri, yet.
I don't think you can. It can read messages but you need to use Siri Eyes Free. At that point i can have it answer back the message.
Not mine. What am I missing? iPhone 6S set up: Bluetooth ON Toyota Prius CONNECTED blue i in the circle...SHOW NOTIFICATIONS, SYN CONTACTS ON Car set up: Source Bluetooth Bluetooth shows this phone & audio BLUE...ON Phone Mode shows call history, contacts, etc. Mail Mode (envelope in box icon) says, "Load Msg List" SMS/MMS---BLANK. Nothing there. It won't display nor read texts to me. What am I missing?
You have to open the phone app on the screen then click on the mail/envelope icon. It'll ask you about enabling the text feature, then it'll work. I just tested mine via bluetooth and it worked.
I do exactly that and it gives me a brief message saying that something's not set up or switched on correctly. The car isn't here right now...I'll get the exact wording. As I said above, the phone's bluetooth line for this car is set to Show Notifications.
