I park outside and the storm came in. It blew pine needles, seeds, and twigs everyone on my car and between the top of the hood of the car and windshield (behind and under the windshield wipers). I can't reach my hand under there to remove them, and they're starting to fall INSIDE the car's engine area, through all the little holes. How can I get those suckers out of there?? Thanks.
How about taking it to the car wash and using the vacuum on the outside prior to the wash. It should do the trick.
I get the long skinny pine needles in tiny crevices in mine pretty regularly; if they don't blow out or I can't pick them out I let them rot there until the next time I, say, remove the cowl to access something and then dump out the detritus. If it's around the back hatch and spoiler, sometimes a strong hoze-nozzle blast will push them out but it helps to go both directions along the seam in question. . I'm just amazed at how far they can work their way into things, but I don't particularly worry about it... . _H*
