How do I set the trip meter for the Gen III? I've reset Trip A so that it shows zero but it is just staying at zero. Do I need to press something again to get it started? Thanks.
? If the car is moving, the meter should be incrementing. You selected trip A and held down the button until it cleared right?
Thanks for the reply. I think so. I switched the display until the average trip meter screen came out then pressed and held trip until it reset. The stats on the bottom read zero now but it doesnt increment. Do I need to reset both A and B trips? Could you run through how you set the trip meter?
Odd. So say you are in the HSI screen... the one with the bar that stretches across the screen. You press the TRIP button until it says Trip A. You press and hold the button again till it clears to say 0.0 miles. That should be it. Trip A and B are independent of each other. So assuming your car is actually moving, the meter should increment.
I see. I did not press and hold the trip meter on the HSI screen, I did it on the average miles per gallon screen (the one after the 5/1 minute interval screen). I think I might have only reset the best average mile per gallon per trip stat. I will try resetting from the HSI screen, thanks for your help.
I got it. Thanks for the tip. You have enabled me to be extra anal now in finding the best commute to work.
