How long can gen 1 traction battery sit

    I am considering buying back a wrecked 2002 prius with 180k/mi from insurance to use the battery for another car. I am familiar with the car and know it was running fine before it was wrecked a month ago so I thought it might be a good bet and I could possibly sell other parts to offset some of the cost. Would sitting for a month without running damage an older battery?

    Only one month should not damage it but the sooner you can get to it, the better.
