I bought a 2010 Prius that was being sold as a certified used vehicle. At the time of sale I was told that all certified warranty information will come from Toyota. So far I received nothing and when I contacted Toyota they told me my car information is not in their system and to contact dealer.

The dealer told me they have submitted the information, but still trying to figure out who provides the documentation.

To me, it should be no mystery, but so far no one has been able to tell me what I should be getting. So far there is nothing that says my vehicle is certified other than the dealer telling me it is.

What are other people's experience on buying TCUV? What kind of documentation did you receive and how long did it take.

dealer gives it to you, at least mine did.

It costs the dealer something like $1200 to get the car certified and provide the warranty.

Thanks. What type of documentation did you receive? Today the dealer told me they have submitted the information and it should be available at the national warranty with Toyota. They said there is no documentation, except a warranty booklet which they gave me.
