It is only 2,500 miles from Huntsville AL to Seattle WA. If we can find three, non-Prime owners in Washington State who want a test drive, I'll see what it takes to make the trip and give each a full, Prime test drive. It will take at least 10 days to work out the logistics. Google Map shows passing through: Central Tennesse Western Kentucky Central Missouri (East-West) Kansas (North Eastern corner) Nebraska (Eastern) South Dakota Montana, South Idaho, North Washington State I can't make the trip for just one test drive. Two become possible, More than two including those along the way, it become more feasible. So I've got a poll. Bob Wilson
make sure you ask if the motels you're staying at will let you charge up the battery overnight. Most of the motels I stayed at back in June while on my US 2 trip to Seattle allowed me to charge up.
SE Montana likely to be booked up Aug 16-21 for the Crow Agency Fair and Pow Wow. Harden Area, Custer battlefield ect. Bring your tipi! "Each summer, the Crow Fair Celebration draws more than 50,000 spectators and participants to Crow Agency, Montana" 2017 Crow Fair Celebration Pow Wow & Rodeo - Montana Powwows There is a free charger program in Washington state. Many small/mid size towns have them to try and attract tourist to their local area. Had a list of them along Rt 2 but the cat never got that far. If you take googles alt route, +24 miles, you go past Weber State in Ogden UT. Forget Washington, North to Alaska....
Be aware, Sturgis motorcycle rally (South Dakota) is Aug 4 - 13th. Lodging fills up for 100 miles in every direction plus 500,000 bikers on the roads between you and there. Sturgis
Also the eclipse is Aug, 21. You will cross the totality somewhere along your route which will be an adventure. As noted above, I would not go within 100 miles of Sturgis during the first weeks of August. Otherwise, the Black Hills are a great place to visit.
There are enough Primes at Seattle-area dealerships to get test drives, so I won't sign up for that part. Along the route is a different matter. But if schedules align (somewhere in WA / ID / MT), I could certainly show up for a meet-up.
