i just recently bought a prius 2010 in fiji islands. they are all japanese second hands. any ways i was told it has a 45 liter fuel tank. so how many liters of fuel does each fuel bar mean on the display and when would be the rite time to refuel. feed backs would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Very roughly 3.5 liters per "bar," if it behaves like the US edition. However, it's not a consistent amount.
well 3.5-liters is about 40-45 miles x 1.6 = 64-72 kM (assuming you are getting 50 MPG which is good) but if it is like my Gen2 some of the bars are much less
Full tank is 10 bars. Empty tank is one blinking bar, it never turns off. When it first starts to blink, with a single beep, there is roughly 8 liters left. Note that the top of the gauge is not at the real top of the tank. Similarly, the bottom of the gauge is not at the real bottom of the tank. This is part of 'customer expectation management'.
