The local dealer has some used '08. Certified Used with a year warranty/12,000 miles. All the cars seem to have about 50k-60k miles, have clean carfax and seem to be from trim 2.

They all seem to be going for little over 20,000. Like 21 to 22.

Are these "fair deals"? They seem very expensive for a 3 year old car. Is the Prius market just inflated? Has the price rocketed sky high because of Japan's troubles?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They sold for 22,000 new and should sell for $14,000 now. Dealer's respond to any perceived trend in the market. Right now there is a $5,000 premium added to any new or used Prius.

It's not a good time to buy.

Wow. It didn't take long for $4 gas to lead to price gouging on hybrids. That means there is a strong demand out there right now for them. We'll see the stats in a month or two.

Check Edmunds and NADA on used Priuses. The wholesale prices may be up. That means dealers are buying them in auctions for more $$.

$4 gas is a relatively minor influence. Toyota's suppliers were hit hard so Prius production is WAY down & isn't expected to normalize until the end of the year.

Holman Toyota may has 1 used 2010 Prius II. Liberty Toyota has 1 2011 Prius Two.

Even normal demand coupled with no supply will drive prices high.
