Just curious about cargo and passengers and if there is a weight you should never exceed for a long trip. My GEN 3 BTW.
There's a sticker on the drivers door frame that tells you the max weight. Remember to bump up your tire pressures too.
Page 726 of the owners manual http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM47A29U/pdf/OM47A29U.pdf say 825 pounds of cargo plus passengers. I assume that is for any trip, no matter how long.
The Prius can hold a lot of tool box and weight. Just strap it down so it won't shift...or launch...just in case.
Son does heavy diesel engine repair on the weekends to keep his skills up. Red force software tester during the week. I do nothing as I am retired and don't need multiple sets of tools. Update: success / 54MPG with a heavy load and mixed driving/AC on
