How do I open doors other the drivers? I set up in the car enable this but I can’t. I have to be able to open all doors any time without using the stuoid key buttons. and how do you open the back? Nothing happens when pushing the buttons under the back trunk.
sometimes, different models of the same vehicle have different programming methods. it would be useful to add your specific vehicle, year and model
You already know my car. 2020 Prius l eco. I already know how in the settings to change door settings but I can’t open the car except by the drivers door. This is utterly insane. If I have the key on me then I should be able to open any door but that’s not the case. So stupid.
i know you have mentioned it in the past, but others may not have seen those posts. and i'm old, short term memory is shot. if you are talking about SKS (fob in pocket, touch door handle to unlock) it depends on the model. some have 3 door (front 2 and hatch) and some only have driver door. somewhere in the past, all prius had 3 door, but toyota deconted to save money.
Does the thing on the driver door you touch to lock make the difference? Driver door is the only one that has it. but yes. I can’t open the car with key in my pocket unless it’s the driver door. Or of course I use the key button. I hate this. But oh well.
From a pdf* of the 4th Gen Prius Owner's Manual, page 165: Going to the highlighted link, page 169: * If you don't have a paper copy of the Owner's Manual, pdf can be downloaded from Toyota Tech Info website, in the "Manuals" tab:
For your make and model; you've got only ONE touch sensor handle (driver's door). Higher trims has two, both front doors ONLY; I don't believe there's a trim where all four doors are touch sensitive; but I may be wrong. To access your trunk, you need to unlock all doors; press the FOB unlock button twice - all doors should unlock (3-beeps).
