Everyone knows how to decipher the earlier gen serial numbers, but very few people know this..so I'll just throw it out there...it's a Primearth secret, lol......but, having dozens of these cases available, with a little bit of analysis, ….. the 12020 portion of the serial number is the last 5 numbers of the part number. The next 5 digits are the manufacture date of the battery assembly....17801 ….17=year....8=month (1-9, A, B, or C)....01=day (1-31)...….August 01, 2017 ….the last 4 digits are likely just the sequential number of batteries built that day
