How to: opening the A/C clamps on the refrigerant lines by the firewall

    Lost way too much time on this so documenting it for the next person.

    The Toyota repair manual says you need the SST 09870-00015 tool to release them. Others say you need a tool call TOY 200.

    This video and the comments pointed me in the right direction. Basically there's a clip inside the clamp and you can push it open using two holes (picture attached). Anything sturdy enough and fits in those holes will work, you only need to push in one hole. The comments on the video mentioned using a 1/16 inch hex key, push pins and such. I used an eye glass repair kit screw driver from dollar tree.

    There's several things on the clamp that look like the holes you push in. The ones you actually push in to open the clamp are the ones closest together.

    I wonder if the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector is similar, I could NOT figure that one out. I think it's referred to as "clam-shell". I had no good reason for trying to disconnect it, don't ask...

    I've been fortunate to not need to disconnect that yet. Is this it?
