Hi folks, I've decided to move up from my Pri Classic to one of the second or third gen Pri. The HID headlights sound good to me. I'm looking at lots of pictures of slightly used Pri. Are the factory foglights are sure indicator that a 2004 -2008 Prius has the HID headlights?

On the '06 models, I'm pretty sure only the package 6, 7, and 8 had fogs and HID headlights. My package 5 has neither.
Are HID lights the ones with the projector lens in them? My Aussie Prius has fog lights and halogen headlights but it isn't a US model.

Thanks, not sure we have them here, the iTech Prius at work don't have any different lights to mine (with halogens) except a slight external shape change.
this is what the cover looks like. The actual unit inside looks like Spaceman Spiff's Transmogrifier (Calvin & Hobbes)! Like those bubbling Christmas lights backwards.
