how to shut off reverse beep using OBDII?

    is this possible? or do I have to take it back to dealership?
    Can I use Torque to shut?
    I have a GEN III

    Dealer did mine for free once I told them how to do it. Gen III won't turn off completely, but will go to one beep when put in R

    Not sure about Torque or other ODB device. Dealer used Techstream software to do it, and did not charge me. Of course I bought it new and asked for it one day after picking up.

    I just tried this on a 2015 Prius V and it didn't take because I forgot to do the step where you actually send the code. doh! It took after I sent the code - and all is well.

    Yeah, that's a custom gauge (XGuage) you can program into a ScanGauge. Funny, I've got the hardware, but completely can't be bothered, like the beep. :)

    The beep distracts me so much I can't concentrate on backing up. It had to go.

    The reverse beep give me the feeling of a child who drank coffee and is jumping on the hood..!
