Hello...some time lurker, first time poster. I live in the UK and am looking at getting a Gen 2 Prius. I'm a new driver - this would be my first car - and am pretty safety conscious and would really prefer to get a vehicle that has VSC. It seems that at least some Gen 2 vehicles were fitted with VSC here in the UK but it's difficult to tell which. Is there any way I can tell from an inspection of the car or from the stated trim level? Any other tips for me are most welcome!
The vin of the vehicle when applied at Toyota.com will lead to a page that will state all original equipment.
It will for US vehicles. Is there a London in the US? I know of one in Canada and the UK. I doubt the toyota.com US site can help here.
Not all Gen 2 Prii had vehicle stability control. I specifically ordered option package 9 because it did. I ended up getting a fleet car because I wanted Super White. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Ok, based on the link to another thread Kevin posted, it looks like the foolproof way to tell during a physical inspection is to press the power button twice to bring up all the warning lights. I'll give that a try when I go look at some tomorrow.
