Gen4 forum, Is there a way to fix the brightness of the HUD on my 2018 Prius 3? The manual says "The brightness of the head-up display is automatically adjusted according to the operation status of the headlights (on/off) and the brightness of the surroundings". I set the headlight switch to position 3(no running lights). I have the interior lights set to almost max brightness. When dark outside and the headlights on the HUD is quite dim but when I drive under a street light it gets brighter as per the manual but I would like it to be bright all the time. Any suggestions? I assume you've adjusted the brightness level of the HUD in general? You get the opportunity to do this by turning it off and back on using the HUD button near your knee. For a few seconds after you switch it on, you can adjust the position and brightness of the HUD via the arrow buttons on the steering wheel.
Gen4 forum, Thanks for the reply Professor, increasing the brightness helped a lot. I wish they would have located the HUD display just a little more to the left of the center of the steering wheel. The MPH digits are just on the edge of the angle of my right eye. Jerryd
