I test drove a 2008 Prius that I’m interested in as everything seemed to be working fine. Except that while I’m driving and parked it makes a humming and faint clicking sound on the drivers side every 5 seconds and stops when I brake. My old 2008 didn’t do this.
Possibly a part of the brake system is showing early signs of wear, leading to inevitable failure. That part is about US$1,150 plus labor and taxes, so not something to gloss over.
