    Hi!

I am having trouble with my 175k mile gen 2 2007 Toyota Prius and would like some help regarding this. So recently, I got the red triangle of death along with the (!), check engine light, and the vsc sign lit up as well. Also, I noticed some sluggish acceleration, more than usual, and I can audibly hear the rear passenger vent now, which pertains to the fan cooling the battery turning on but I have not heard that before. I did get an OBD II bluetooth scanner to scan it and got codes P3017 regarding Module 7 fault and Battery Block 7 malfunction as well as code P3000, which is probably a general code letting me know something is up. I did some looking online and know that this can be fixed by taking out the entire battery, changing out the specific block with new battery cells (adding in 2 since a block is two separate cells) and then running the car again to see if it works. Is this what I need to do to fix this? I did see the voltage that the blocks were outputting but they all seemed fine and consistent with one another. I know I can run the AC (my ac system is bad atm since I need to replace the air compressor which I already ordered lol) to make the battery work harder and that can give me my answer but in regards to the code and my overall car's health, is changing out block 7 going to keep my hybrid battery happy and healthy and running for a lot longer? Thanks for reading!
