i would open up the battery and look for corrosion

 

I would imagine if you can get a hold of a download or a view of the factory manual it will place that sensor on a chart or you can see its placement in the battery case or like been said here before you can just open up the case and have a look for some nonsense corrosion You're going to see some on other things anyway You might as well start taking a look it would be a good idea and then you can figure out what all you need to address and it will be more than just this one sensor especially once you have it all apart.
