Here's a thread for people to list hybrid commercial vehicles they've spotted. No, I'm not talking about vehicles readily available to mass market consumers that have been put into fleet/commercial use (e.g. Prius, NAH and FFH taxis), I'm referring to delivery trucks and buses. In WA, I recall seeing hybrid Amazon delivery trucks. In NYC, I recently saw a bunch of hybrid city buses. However, their ICEs still seemed to run at stoplights. I wasn't able to get a look at who made them. Today, in Philadelphia, I spotted a UPS trucks w/hybrid electric labeling on it.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the hybrid city buses running around Seattle and King County. Metro is buying 93 units of a new hybrid generation. "The new 40-foot hybrid-electric buses will complement the 235 hybrid articulated coaches that have been part of Metro’s fleet since 2004."
I've also seen this SMUD hybrid truck in Sacramento. American Public Power Association - Newsletters & Magazines - Public Power Daily
A couple months back I posted pic's of the Sparkletts truck that makes deliveries to our work place. It's a battery electric hybrid. The FedEx trucks around here too.
I finally saw some GM hybrid buses today. They're in use in Boston, at least around the JFK/UMass T station. They have GM Hybrid in big letters near the top. IIRC, they said "New Flyer" on the front though.
Friday, King County (Seattle area) retired its last only diesel-only transit bus. All its remaining coaches are hybrids or electrics (battery or trolley). After 62 Million Miles, King County Metro Throws a Retirement Party for Its Last Diesel Bus
