    Now they need to start thinking about applying this techology to police and security vehicles that sit in parking lots for 24/hrs with the engine on. :angry:

    Yup. The problem with the prius for these roles is its size and lack of power. A hybrid crown vic (or something similar) would save police departments a lot of money on fuel for sure.

    I'm thinking patrol cars in this case. SUVs are worthless for high-speed chases unless you wanna die in a rollover.
