I have had a problem with my prius for about 4 summers now. When temperatures get to warm (above 110f, very common in Phoenix,AZ) the check hybrid system turns on and a communication error between hybrid system and airbag module error occurs. Specifically calling the driver side airbag array as the fault. The yellow triangle will appear as well as the airbag light. If you don't stop right away when it happens (like on a freeway) the anti slip and other lights turn on as well. The car does not go into crawl mode and once cooled the code can be cleared with reader or with 3 restarts of the engine. I have been to 2 dealerships and 1 independent shop and have not found a solution. Now I am noticing the error occurring at much lower temperatures making driving above 85f creating the error. Has anyone ever heard of such a problem? I am tracking my stats with hybrid assistant and it is not quite warm enough to trip the error but I did find a strange temp reading on my inverter. When it turns on my inverter temp spikes up instantly 30f and when it turns of it instantly looses those 30f. Attached is a pic of temps at the end the car is not moving and the battery is being recharged when the inverter temp spikes.
Probably some wire problems... @ChapmanF explained what you need to inspect pretty well right here: P3107 Error Code.. | PriusChat
