I think I we use less than 17% of the average american household already. Certainly if you factor in the net carbon foot print,, since we generate a percentage of solar electricity, have solar hot water and space heat (~60%) heat with wood for much of the balance. Our real foot of clay it the transcontinental trips we take several times a year! Driving the Prius helps,, taking the train like we did last time also helps. Icarus
