Well, for anybody in the Long Island area who would like to at least get a chance to touch and drive a prius to see if they are really interested, Millenium Toyota in Hempstead actually has one that you can drive. Now I am completely convinced that I want one! It's a silver, without the nav package. They also had a Tideland #9 sitting there, but of course it was sold (sigh). anyway, it was important to be able to check it out in person. imagine waiting a year for something and then not liking it...
