Same here, all I was told was get a job, check ... Be nice, check ... Enjoy life, check. Yep I'm still a kid, albeit a responsible one! With NO kids to train!
I am refered to at Edgewater Raceway Park near Cincy as the worlds oldest teenager. When I turned 60 2 years ago the wifey asked when I was thinking of retireing from drag raceing...I told her to ask me again in 40 years! I turned 62 yesterday and my first social security check will come May 15th! Links to what I drag, the last one being a 3 banger Geo Metro that I made money with in 2 of 3 races in the United Manual Transmission Racers series...1st car I beat with it was a early 60s Corvette that ran 7.70 seconds at over 170 mph. We both ran .002 off our dials, but my .030 reaction time got me the win over his .036! Congrats dude, 13 more years to go for me, looking forward to retirement. Who knows may go a little over
Nice car except for the wheels. They are butt ugly. Did you spray the stock rims with Krylon black spray paint? I'm guessing it took at least 4 cans.
