Just heard the dreaded roar of a cat deficient 2nd gen Prius coming up the street, looked out the window and sure enough, a grey one noisily drove past. Fearing the worst, I went out to check our car, parked in the driveway, since the thieves have previously hit multiple cars in one day in my neighborhood. Thankfully the shield was still intact and all good. While I was still out there the cat deficient Prius returned so I flagged down the kid (19?) driving that car and told him to tape up the sensor wires underneath before they shorted and damaged the ECU. I hope his parents are covering his car costs, because otherwise he is in for a very rude shock.
