    Hello everyone,
I've wanted to own a Prius for a long time. I found a prius today, 2015 year.
There are faults and error code in this car.
    - lost communication with the ECU
    - error code U0100
If I buy this car, will it be very expensive to have it done in Canada? I need your estimates. How much does the highest cost?
    For example 2000$-7000$
    Thank you

    Welcome to PriusChat...

That ECU code could be as easy as loose plug, damaged wires, or swapping out a bad ECU. Finding someone with same car to borrow an ECU from would make diagnosis of the problem way easier.

In general, Prius are great if you or a friend or family member have basic automotive skills and can follow our guidance on here to make inexpensive repairs.

However, if you're averse to DIY methods and depend on a Toyota Stealership or overpriced local mechanic, I'd reccomend you avoid buying a Prius because it will cost you more than it will save you.
